Palm Coast Area Attractions
The City of Palm Coast is revered for its community spirit, beautiful Florida location, and substantial job growth. But the most appealing aspect of Palm Coast for residents old and new is the abundance of area attractions that make it a truly unique and fascinating place to live and visit. Palm Coast’s location on the eastern coast of Florida makes it the perfect playground for people who love scenic beauty, mild weather, and access to all the amenities and offerings of a distinctive lifestyle.
The Palm Coast Community Center and Park is the current meeting place for the Palm Coast City Council but offers recreational activities and locales for Palm Coast residents including fenced playgrounds and basketball courts. Residents are able to utilize the community center on a rental basis for conferences and other needs. The grounds are host to a variety of after-school day camp and summer camp activities as well.
The Birds of Paradise Nature Preserve is located right on Bird of Paradise Lake in Palm Coast. It is a scenic park that allows residents to enjoy nature and the habitats of a variety of species of birds. It is also a resource-based park as well and is a testament to Palm Coast’s devotion to maintaining the natural habitat of the Florida beauty.
Due to recent renovations, the Frieda Zamba Pool now features outdoor and heated facilities. The pool area is the location for swim team and classroom swimming activities, swimming classes, and recreational swimming. Nearly 1,000 Palm Coast residents visit the Frieda Zamba Pool each week to enjoy its cool, clean waters that are sanitized and disinfected routinely. The pool also features full facilities such as a bath house and decks.
The Palm Coast Tennis Center is a world-class membership center that features affordable memberships and programs for residents who wish to receive professional instruction, league play, tournament play and special events on its ten new, Welch HydroGrid Clay courts. The tennis center also features tennis exhibitions, ball machines, tennis clinics and lighted courts. Member will enjoy the forgiving surfaces of the clay courts that were designed and constructed by the largest constructor of tennis courts in the world, Welch Tennis Courts.
The St. Joe Walkway is two miles of shaded trail that stretches from the Palm Coast Community Center to the Intracoastal Waterway. Residents can experience the true gorgeous nature of Florida on the St. Joe Walkway while strolling along its serene pathways.
Palm Coast Linear Park houses three covered areas for picnicking, a concession area complete with restrooms, shuffleboard and bocce courts, and an enclosed playground area. Palmetto and mountain bike trails surround the park and join the St. Joe Walkway.
Palm Coast’s newest park is the Seminole Woods Neighborhood Park. Located in the Seminole Woods subdivision the park features a children’s playground, lighted tennis court, ball field, basketball court, natural trail, and a pavilion with charcoal grills and restrooms.
The Indian Trails Sports Complex is the place that Palm Coast residents engage in many team sports. It contains a playground, four baseball fields, four soccer fields, a concession stand, and two pavilions with restrooms.
