Palm Coast Schools

With the exponential growth rate that Palm Coast school officials have witnessed their town go through, they have made exceptional efforts in keeping up with the ever-growing demand of providing an exemplary education for their public school students from kindergarten through high school graduation.  The City of Palm Coast is proud to offer a curriculum that prepares its students for the future.

The Palm Coast school district believes that children must be familiar with technology at as early an age as possible.   Students as young as elementary school are familiarized with computers, laptops, and software in order to foster a familiarity and with technology so that they will graduate and enter the world with an above average aptitude in the ever-advancing information age.

Palm Coast schools’ children regularly exceed all state and national average test scores on mandatory standardized aptitude tests.  It’s elementary, middle and high schools regularly received honors and accolades for their accomplishments in ensuring that Palm Coast children are not only meeting the standards but greatly surpassing them as well.  This is because the Palm Coast school system views what other school systems look at as goals as the standard and give their children the skills and develop that they can use to reach much higher.

Palm Coast is home to three elementary schools, two middle schools, and two high schools; all of which are under the umbrella of the Flagler County School District.  There are also two additional elementary schools in the school district as well; one located in Flagler Beach and one located in Bunnell.

Flagler-Palm Coast High School takes an active approach in preparing its students for college curriculum as well as challenging careers after high school graduation.  To help accomplish this goal, the school allows its students to choose from a list of major areas of interest and the art-related classes they take will correspond with their chosen major.  The academies that they can choose from are “The Academy of Business and Entrepreneurship,” “The Academy of Visual Arts,” and “The Academy of Creative Arts.”

The staff at Matanzas High School is devoted to providing an internationally competitive, relevant, rigorous education for all of its students.  In order to do so, each faculty member work tirelessly and commit to doing the best job possible in delivering engaging lessons that challenge the students to perform better each day.  Matanzas High School is known for its outstanding teacher-to-student ratio and a level of success that other high school have never witnessed.

Indian Trails Middle School and Buddy Taylor Middle School provide a unique, comprehensive learning experience for young teenagers.  These schools realize that middle school is a crucial time in children’s’ learning development and strive to keep their students challenged and interested in learning and developing their skills.

Finally, Rymfire Elementary School, Wadsworth Elementary School and Belle Terre Elementary School actively engage their students with curriculum that develop their sense of wonder and spark their interest in learning through creative, comprehensive learning that can be built upon for a lifetime.
